DAN Dr.

Wow is all that comes to mind when I think of yesterday! This Man was absolutely amazing! Amazing to the point where I would travel days upon days if I had to, for Max to be able to see him! Finally we have found a Doctor that knows something about Autism and wants to help you. Dr. M actually has a Son with Autism. He is a regular Family Physician but also specializes in Autism because of his Son. As a parent he wanted to find out all he could about Autism because at the time his Son was diagnosed he knew nothing. He said that they are not taught about Autism in Medical School. The sad thing is when you seek out a Doctors opinion because you have worries, they tell you to wait. This shouldn't be the case. They should be sending you to a specialist.

We gathered so much information yesterday and I was so thankful to have my Mom there to hear everything. He was so considerate and compassionate. He sat on the floor the entire time to get acquainted with Max. He answered all of our questions and gave us advice on what to do. Max will first have a blood test to find the answers that we need. This will tell us a huge range of things that could be going on in his body. When we get the blood test back the Dr. and I will have a phone conference to determine what the next step will be, and supplements Max will need to be on and so on. This Dr. was a huge answer to prayer! Before we left he asked Max for a hug and Max went and gave him a hug. That was so special. I just can't say enough wonderful things about this Dr. It is a great feeling to have an advocate for your child that is in the medical field!
It was a great day and I am so thankful to have had the opportunity to meet him!
